Jay is a Managing Partner of Millennium New Horizons, where he focuses on early-stage investments across all emerging technologies. Jay led the firm’s investments in Syntiant, Rapid Robotics, Gori, and OpusClip among others.

Jay served as a seasoned executive across several tech giants including Intel, Samsung, and SK. Jay led the e-Mobility Group at SK Group, driving investments and acquisitions within the electrification and alternative energy sectors. Here, he led the investment in Volta Charging (VLTA) and advised its $300M joint venture with SunRun, the number 1 residential solar company in the US. He also supported the Executive Vice Chairman of SK Group, overseeing SK Hynix, SK Telecom, SK Innovation, SK Holdings, and SK On, a leading EV battery manufacturer.

Prior to SK, Jay was a Vice President & Managing Director at Samsung Ventures, focusing on e-Mobility, autonomous driving, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, data centers, semiconductors, and metaverse. His key investments include SolidFire (acq. by NetApp), SeaMicro (acq. by AMD), PureStorage (lPO), Tilera (acq. By Mellanox), YellowBrick, and Oculii (acq. by Ambarella). Jay spent the earlier stages of his career in various leadership roles at Intel, where he successfully launched and managed its flagship mobile and laptop product lines such as Centrino and Pentium M. His tenure at Intel includes an international assignment in Shanghai, China, driving the corporate strategy of building the local laptop manufacturing ecosystems and incubating local laptop OEMs in China, India, Eastern Europe, and Latin America. Prior to Intel he headed Sales & Marketing at International Rectifier (acquired by Infineon) in Seoul, Korea. Jay holds an MBA from The Johnson School at Cornell University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley.
